FittingPros Launch: Find and Compare Golf Club Fitters
If you are reading this, chances are you’re obsessed with the game of golf. You’ve probably spent late nights on forums debating shaft weights, or wondering if that new driver head will actually fix your slice.
O maybe you've just caught the golf bug and are looking to improve your game and are venturing out to purchase a new pair of club, a putter, or a driver.
No matter what camp you fall in, I’m happy you’re here.
While I may have hinted at this in a few circles already, I want to use this post to officially announce the project I’ve been building. I’m calling it FittingPros. Here’s the scoop.
What is FittingPros?
FittingPros is a comprehensive, data-rich club fitting directory designed to help golfers of all skill levels find and compare the best golf club fitting locations. I am building a platform that brings transparency to a fragmented industry, organizing everything from independent studios and national chains to local brand specialists.
FittingPros gives golfers the tools they need to…
- Find trusted fitters based on specific location and service needs.
- Compare facilities by technology (Trackman, GCQuad, etc.), golf club and shaft brands carried, and fitting environments (indoor vs. outdoor).
- Validate their investment by seeing exactly what a fitter offers before booking a session.
- Distinguish between a retail sales pitch and a true, brand-agnostic professional fitting.
At this point, you might not be jumping out of your seat. Directories aren’t exactly a new concept. And frankly, you can already search for "club fitters near me" on Google. But is wading through pages of vague search results and forum threads the most efficient way to trust your game to someone?
As a golfer, I realized that while custom fitting has become an industry standard (driving over half of all new club sales), finding a qualified fitter can be a challenge.
Looking at the club fitter landscape I noticed a few things:
- The quality gap is huge: There is a massive difference between a 15-minute static measurement at a big-box retailer and a 2-hour session with a Master Fitter.
- Data is hidden: It is difficult to find out if a shop uses top-tier launch monitors or carries the specific shaft brand you want to try without calling them.
- Trust is low: Golfers are often skeptical, fearing they are just being sold inventory rather than being fit for performance.
- The "Hidden Gems" are invisible: Amazing local fitters often get buried in search results by major national franchises with bigger marketing budgets.
For me personally, the anxiety of spending $600 on a driver, plus several hundred on a shaft, only to wonder "was that actually right for me?" struck a chord. I decided this was a problem worth attacking.

Why tackle this problem?
Ultimately, I am choosing to tackle this problem because I believe better data leads to better golf. I have seen how a proper fitting can improve a player's game, and I want to make that experience accessible to everyone, not just the pros or the insiders who know where to go.
I believe that organizing this data empowers the consumer. While there’s no doubt that FittingPros won't list every single facility on day one, or even year one, my goal is to cover the ones that matter, the ones that prioritize your performance over their inventory.

Now that you know what I am building, it’s important to mention how I am rolling this out. A national directory is a beast of a project, so I am taking a focused approach.
I officially launched FittingPros starting with the club fitters in the state of Florida.
Why Florida? It is the heartbeat of the golf industry. From Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach (my hometown) to the greater West Palm Beach area, the concentration of talent, golfers, and year-round-play in Florida is unmatched. By focusing my initial efforts here, I can ensure the data is accurate, the profiles are deep, and the utility is high for early users.
I am manually verifying fitters, gathering details on their launch monitors, their bay setups, and their specific fitting philosophies. While I am starting here, I won't stay here. As I refine the platform with feedback from golfers, I will expand state by state until the US is covered.
