Location Data: We do not use the browser's high-accuracy geolocation API. We perform a transient IP-lookup via external APIs to identify your general city and state to provide localized fitting results.‍

Locally Stored Information: We use chrome.storage.local to save your preferred home city and state. This data is stored strictly on your local device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Usage Logs: We may collect non-identifiable technical data such as browser version and interaction logs to improve Extension performance.

2. How We Use the Information

‍We use the information collected by the Extension strictly to:

  • Provide localized golf club fitting pricing and directory results.
  • Maintain your location preferences so you do not have to re-enter them.
  • Improve Extension functionality and troubleshoot technical issues.

3. Limited Use Policy Disclosure

‍FittingPros complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We only use user data to provide or improve the Extension's single purpose (connecting golfers with local fitters).
  • We do not transfer or sell user data to third parties, advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
  • We do not use user data for personalized advertising or to determine creditworthiness.
  • We do not allow humans to read user data except for security purposes or to comply with applicable laws.

‍We do not sell, rent, or trade user data. We only share information with third parties when necessary to fulfill the Extension’s single purpose (e.g., retrieving location via a public API) or if legally required.

  • Encryption: All communication with external APIs is conducted over secure HTTPS connections.
  • Retention: Locally stored data (city/state) remains on your device until you manually clear it or uninstall the Extension.
