Club fitting at PGA WEST in La Quinta is led by Master Club Fitter Charlie Rodi, who has worked there since 1994 and has done more than 25,000 fittings.
Range Fittings
Rodi's traditional fittings happen on the practice range with TrackMan, with no simulators or mats, so you see real ball flight. He fits across TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, Cobra and XXIO, and sits on TaylorMade's National Council. A quick adjustment can fit in one hour, while full bag fittings are often split into separate sessions for woods, irons and wedges.
The Performance Lab
In November 2025 PGA WEST opened the Performance Lab in the Tournament Clubhouse, between the Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament courses. It adds a custom fitting studio alongside GEARS 3D motion capture, Swing Catalyst force plates, an overhead TrackMan and a Quintic putting setup. Fittings are booked by phone through the Golf Academy.
