DICK'S Sporting Goods in Metairie has a dedicated golf section offering club fitting services inside their larger sports retail store. Golfers can find fittings for drivers, irons, fairway woods, hybrids, wedges, grips, and get advice for optimizing their entire bag. The shop carries clubs, balls, shoes, and apparel for different skill levels and age groups.
What Makes Them Unique
DICK'S Sporting Goods is an independent retailer, not tied to any single manufacturer, so golfers have a range of major golf brands to choose from. They are known nationally as the largest sporting goods chain in the US and provide a one-stop location for golf gear and other sports needs.
Fitting Philosophy and Technology
Club fittings are provided in-store. While they haven't published details about the tech or specific process at this location, stores typically use launch monitors and demo clubs from top brands. Golfers work with in-store associates to try different combinations and get recommendations.
Who They Serve
They fit golfers of all skill levels—from beginners to frequent players. The store focuses on finding the right clubs for each individual's needs and can help with upgrades or new sets.
Location and Accessibility
The Metairie location is inside a shopping area on Veterans Memorial Blvd, making it easy to visit for locals and those in the greater New Orleans area.
