Epoxy

Epoxy

Epoxy is the adhesive used to secure a golf shaft inside the hosel of the clubhead. It’s a two-part mixture that hardens into a durable bond strong enough to handle repeated impact and the stress of a full swing.

Properly mixed and cured epoxy is essential for safety and performance. If the bond is weak or incomplete, the club head can loosen or separate from the shaft during play.

Club builders pay close attention to epoxy type, mix ratio, and curing time. Temperature, humidity, and cleanliness of the bonding surfaces all affect how well the epoxy sets.

High-quality builds often use slow-cure epoxy because it provides a stronger, more reliable bond. Once cured, the epoxy helps ensure the head stays fixed in the correct position, preserving the club’s specifications and overall feel.
