GEARS
GEARS is a 3D motion-capture system used in high-level club fitting and swing analysis.
It uses multiple cameras, reflective markers, and advanced software to track the golfer and the club in full three-dimensional detail. The system records exact measurements of club path, face angle, shaft deflection, wrist angles, body rotation, weight shift, and dozens of other elements. Because GEARS captures the entire swing in 3D, it provides an extremely accurate picture of how the golfer delivers the club to the ball.
Fitters and coaches use GEARS when they need deeper insight than a traditional launch monitor can provide. It shows how the shaft bends, how the club moves through space, and how the body motions influence the strike. This level of detail helps diagnose issues and select equipment that supports the golfer’s natural movement.
GEARS is especially useful for advanced fittings, where understanding precise mechanics can lead to more tailored recommendations and more consistent performance.
