Club Length
Club Length
Club length is the measurement of how long the club is from the end of the grip to the sole of the clubhead.
It plays a major role in how well a golfer can control the club and make center-face contact. Longer clubs can create more speed but often reduce accuracy. Shorter clubs improve control and consistency but may cost a bit of distance if they’re too short.
Fitters use club length to match the player’s posture, arm length, and swing mechanics.
If a club is too long, the golfer may struggle with heel strikes or feel crowded at impact. If it’s too short, toe strikes and posture issues can appear.
Getting length right helps the golfer swing comfortably, return the club to the ball more consistently, and produce a predictable ball flight.
