Sweet Spot
The sweet spot is the center of the clubface where energy transfer is most efficient.
When you strike the ball here, you get maximum ball speed, minimal twisting, and the cleanest feel. Shots hit on the sweet spot fly farther, stay on line better, and feel solid through impact. Every club has one, but its effective size depends on the head design and face technology.
Fitters watch how often a golfer finds the sweet spot because it influences distance, launch, and dispersion. If a player routinely misses it high, low, toe, or heel, the fitter may adjust length, lie angle, shaft profile, or head style to help tighten impact location.
The closer a golfer gets to the sweet spot on a regular basis, the more consistent their ball flight and overall performance become.
