Iron Fitting
Iron fitting focuses on selecting the right head style, shaft profile, length, lie angle, and set makeup to give the golfer consistent distance control, launch, and dispersion.
Because irons are used for a wide range of shots like full swings, knockdowns, and approaches, the fitting pays close attention to launch height, spin rate, carry distance, and how the club interacts with the turf. A good iron fitting helps the golfer hit predictable trajectories and hold greens more reliably.
Fitters test different iron models, such as game-improvement, players distance, or compact players irons, to match the golfer’s strike patterns and ball-flight needs. They also adjust lie angle, since even a couple of degrees off can send shots left or right. Shaft weight and stiffness play major roles in feel and consistency.
The goal is a set of irons that performs evenly throughout the bag, fills in proper distance gaps, and matches the golfer’s natural swing tendencies.
