Loft
Loft is the angle of the clubface that controls how high the ball launches. Higher loft increases launch and spin, sending the ball higher with a steeper descent. Lower loft produces a lower, more penetrating flight with less spin.
Every club in the bag has a specific loft to create proper distance gaps, from low-lofted drivers up to high-lofted wedges.
Fitters adjust loft to tune launch, spin, and carry distance. If a golfer hits the ball too low or struggles to keep shots in the air, more loft can help. If shots balloon or spin too much, reducing loft may improve efficiency.
Loft also interacts with factors like CG placement, shaft profile, and dynamic loft at impact. Getting loft right ensures each club flies the correct distance and produces a predictable, repeatable trajectory.
